At-Taqwa Masjid and Islamic Center which is located in the heart of Kumarpara, Sylhet city. Since the issue of drinking pure water is very important, At-Taqwa Masjid has been making efforts to provide pure water since its inception. For this reason, pure water has been provided for the worshipers and pedestrians inside and outside the mosque. Inshallah, by the grace of Allah, we are determined to continue this activity. Cold water has been provided to the public through refrigerators.
In order to please Allah, arrangements have been made to keep ablution rooms and toilets open at At Taqwa Mosque and Islamic Center from 2018 onwards. If the ablutions and toilets are open only during the prayers, then it becomes difficult for the pedestrians, travelers or the suddenly arriving musallis to attain purity. In order to eliminate this problem, we have been keeping the toilets and ablution place open all the time from the very beginning.
The At-Taqwa Mosque has always attached great importance to cleanliness since its inception. Especially when the Kovid-19 virus spreads across the country, the At-Taqwa mosque consciously disinfects inside the mosque premises and outside the mosque by spraying disinfectants and disinfects the hands of the musalli, guests or travelers who come to the mosque. For this purpose, hand washing and measures have been taken at the entrance of the street outside the mosque.
The At-Taqwa Mosque has taken steps to cater to guests from Sylhet or other parts of the country. There are specific books for introducing incoming guests. Arrangements are made to write the names, addresses and suggestions of the guests. Meals are arranged and taken according to the needs of the guests.
The At-Taqwa Mosque and Islamic Center has been organizing Iftar throughout the month of Ramadan since its inception. It was organized in 2018 and 2019. But in the year 2020, the holy month of Ramadan has come to an end in the world of Karonama. Due to the situation, we launched "Ramadan Food Package 2020". The package contained dates, rice, pulses, gram, oil, onion and salt worth Rs. 1,500 / -. Zakat money was not collected in the 'Ramadan Food Package'. Because At-Taqwa mosques have a separate 'Zakat Fund'. Which are distributed in certain sectors according to the Shariah.

The Zakat Fund helps the poor and needy people of the society to get education, medical treatment and livelihood.
In the early stages of Covid-19, our government authorities took various activities including lockdown in the country. As a result of which the financial condition of many brothers deteriorated severely, Masjid at Taqwa helped different families by raising money for the sake of Allah. Many people benefit from this. At-Taqwa plays a role in its own initiative in any emergency situation of the society and the state.
At-Taqwa Mosque and Islamic Center regularly organizes religious halakars. Weekly monthly dars are organized and various seminars are organized. Every year a conference called "Siratul Mustaqim Conference" is organized. The conference is attended by scholars of pure Aqeedah and Manhaj and Talibul Ilams in different halakas. These halakas and conferences are open to the public. Women can also sit in the darsa separately and listen to the discussion. Arranging the next Q&A after the Jum'ah prayer. The At-Taqwa Mosque and the Islamic Center, through their own Goraba Fund, provide assistance to the needy poor in the areas of food, winter clothing and other sectors. The At-Taqwa Mosque and the Islamic Center, through their own orphan funds, provide assistance in the fields of medicine, education, food distribution and others.
Religious books are distributed free of charge, a certain number of books are sold at 50% discount and commission price, and books are also sent by courier to distant brothers. At-Taqwa also participates in book fairs. Other Sunnah items including perfumes, hats, meswak, shroud cloths are also supplied.
By the grace of Allah, At-Taqwa has started a library and fatwa department under its own management. People can easily find answers to questions close to their lives with a specific phone number.
